Hi, I was just wondering what are the differences in running a 15x10 over a 15x8 rim with 36/12.5/15 simex et2?
Also wanted to know if anyone has had experience with regrooving tyres (simex's) and how it went.
How much can you groove into them before risking the integrity of the tyre?
Cheers

I believe you can only regroove, regroovable tyres.
Being such a big tyre it would be too wide for an 8" rim and risk premature tyre damage and bead letting go.

They'll fit both those rims ,they'll just stand up taller on the 15 x 10, as in less sidewall bagging
and less prone to staking side wall as well ,As for re grooving I would avoid, IMO.
could look at fitting them to beadlock rims as well, to air right down

G'day mate, actually there is a fair bit in the middle of a Simex ET2. I have never done a regroove as i sell them at about 70% and roll over for new ones but there are many guys running regrooved Simexes.

Give these guys a call, they did the ones in the pic above and charge $70 a tyre to do the grooving. Ask them how much to take out or get them to do it for you.

At the end of the day though mate you dressing Mutton as Lamb and they simply Wont be as good or as safe as a new set. By the time you spend $350 to have a set resurrected then you should put that coin towards a better set.

Would think load and speed rating would go out the door,
The Big question Is it legal???

I would hazard a guess at definitely hell no on that one unless they are sold as/designed to be regroovable.
