got a 96 rd28t gq with a 5 linch lift in it ( i love my truck) will almost go anywhere
but sadlyl it not going at the moment had the head done and now she wont start
i live in the queensland area around toowoomba

Another QLD boy - good to see!!! Welcome aboard mate - heaps of useful information, great people and a good laugh to be had on the forum so feel free to make the most of it and get amongst the conversations. We are looking at a trip to Janowen Hills in February with a few forum members, so being that is in your neck of the woods, would be great to see you there - I'll keep you posted on the event!!

i love janowen been there heaps of time do a lot of comps there with opposite lock challange 1st one for the series is i think 19th march but if patrol is going or the othere truck(40 series landcruiser) would be up for a trip with the family

I've never owned an RD28 powered Patrol, but from all the reports I've read the cylinder head is the main area where they give trouble. What was wrong with the head on yours?

was a bit slack on the service on the timing belt which it throw resulting in a head rebuild had the guys at diesel engines australia in dalby rebuilt it for me replaced the lifters, a couple of valves and a new cam the cam and lifters are a gu item which the recon are stronger
