Hi Guys, just thought I'd share my first ever exprience 4wd'n and yes it was in the one and only family car.... the mighty Nissan Xtrail. 2 weeks after doing this, I sold it, bought the missus a little Honda Jazz and myself a GQ trol....... best move I ever made, apart from emigrating over here that is.

It certainly was. Had a couple of hairy moments but managed to get through with out too much damage and getting stuck. Even the guy in the landcrab was surprised the little Xtrail didn't get stuck.

Looks like some tough terrain?

it was pretty tough for the lil car but it's a good trail for all abilities. Saying that, I wouldn't take the Xtrail out there again if i still had it (with out a lift kit and A/T tyres).

Nice one buddy, looks like a great spot for your 1st. (somewhere in W.A I am guessing???)
Next time in the Q you will think its a chicken track as we call it over here in S.A.
Is it the same in other states ????
Hope you enjoyed the offroad experience Clunk with more brilliant adventures to come.

Cheers Pete :santa:

Cheers Pete, it's a good fun track for novices and the more experienced, with both easy and very testing sections. You can basically make it as easy or as difficult as you like. But yes, the Q made mince meat out of the areas I struggled in with th Xtrail.
