G'Day Peeps!!
Thought i'd drop a note to say hi! Transitioning over from the Pathfinder forum to here!
Got rid of my 2012 Ti Pathfinder for a 2004 GU IV ST Patrol. Some call it downgrade most call it an upgrade!..
In my opinion for my purpose of doing 100,000kms a year.. it is a downgrade for comfort.. but im getting it done up to give me the comfort i need!
I from Rowville, VIC, travel heaps for work! Trying to make time to do some beach driving as i have NEVER done it!!! Was up at hervey bay but had no time for fraser!
I will have heaps of Diesel/Patrol related questions soon and hope there are GURUS on here as well!!
I have opened a thread with pic of my ride.. and things i am doing.. Any comments anyone can provide there would be great too!
Cheers
Jay

Hi Jay and welcome to the forum if your ride is 4.2 TD great if its a # ltr TD you may want to NAD it
Not much $$$$ for peace of mind. Think the Patrols are a great choice for outback touring, not too
thirsty and comfortable as well.jump in anytime and enjoy

It is a 3.0l mate. Done the manual boost controller, egr plate and the gauges. 3" exhaust, catch can going in shortly..
Comfort wise getting some ironman gas shocks and perf springs in as the last trip was pretty uncomfy!!!!!

Yeah could do. Better over a camp fire with no tourists around though don't you reckon?! Where do you like heading for trips this time of year?
As for modding mine...no serious plans as yet. I think the first thing would have to be dual battery and a fridge to allow for a decent trip without relying on ice, then better AT tyres, in order of priorities. What about you liveky7?
