Sounds interesting, Cruiserkhana was just voted best offroad competition by board at 4wd vic, and held on private property,
but all should be held accountable for their actions IMO

Still plenty of hoons with 4x4 in the bush

I bought a Honda Civic for $50 the other week, flogged the F*#& out of it, jumped it a few times, punctured the sump and blew the radiator off, kept driving until it seized....... sold it to the wreckers for $50

That was a good 2 days.

Yeah we normally have them run for a good couple of months then sell them to a wrecker for scrap when they die..... An acquaintance had this Civic as his daily until he tried to drive home pissed and crashed it.... it was cheap so I did not care and got far more than $50 worth of fun out of it! Especially to get my money back!

Such a joke! Too much red tape nowadays. Glad I got my fix of paddock bashing in when I was younger. What's next, can't drive your car on your own land unless its roadworthy and registered?

There are certain things that should be left alone and it be a right of passage for any young man....

They should just get rid of all the trees along the Murray in the name of safety and drain the river to stop drownings......

Private property is exactly that - PRIVATE! I don't see how they can fine us for what we do on our property without permission from us - the landowners (Or dad even hahaha)

If I want to do dougnuts on my property - that is my choice, my risk, my problem.
If my mate wants to do dougnuts on my property - he understands that i don't care if he hurts himself - thats his problem (No, I don't hang with wusses!)
If anything happens - well too bad our stupid fault!

What has happened to society??

Spank your kids - teach them respect - feed them concrete - make them responisible for their own actions, and HARDEN UP!

Soon we will be fined for Breathing the wrong way!

Cheers!

I dont know what you guys are worried about, from my understanding of the article it will only affect you if you kill someone.
Do as many donuts as you like, however if you get pissed do some donuts in a lifted 4wd with your mate on the roof and roll it over killing him you will go to jail.
Having a bit of fun responsibly should still not be a problem.

IMO if you're stupid enough to do something that costs someone elses life you deserve to go down, private property or not.

Well it may only affect you if you kill someone, but they don't define what is classed as dangerous driving and if implemented will open up a whole lot of issues...................

Say for example I am on private property competing in a 4x4 comp, I roll the 4b and kill my nav....... should I go to jail or been fined for reckless driving???? Was it reckless driving or an accident, did the nav no the risk involved.......... yes...................should I go to jail or be fined...........NO

If your pissed doing donuts with your mate on the roof and you kill him, should you go 2 jail or be fined.................mmmmmmm, nope..................You did not force him up there..... Isn't he responsible for his on actions?????

Clunk

I think comps on private property are a totally different kettle of fish, for one thing they'd have to have public liability insurance in order to hold a comp on the property, whether that be the land owners, comp organisers or both......... I don't believe there should be hoon laws for your own property, far from it but if someone is killed or badly injured due to your own actions, then yes you should be held accountable....... If it was by their own actionsor someone else's, then they should be accountable

They call me MCcrappatappalot!!!!!

Regardless of land status, someone dies......it's investigated and charges may or may not be laid. It's the other laws on private property that concern me!

Of course he is responsible for his own actions, but so should you be, you're the one driving the car that has potential to kill someone.
Dont you think you have some responsibility to stop the car and tell your stupid mate to get off?
