Just received word that our tenants in Noosa are moving out early, with our blessings. Advised them that we would be moving into our home there in October, when the lease was due to end, and that if they found somewhere else before October that we were happy to release them from the lease.
Got an email today saying that they'd found a place and would be moving in 2 weeks.
A few frantic phone calls later and we are set to move out of Bathurst on June 3rd :)
House here hasn't sold yet but we'd rather sell this empty and be living in Noosa than leave Noosa empty and spend another winter in Bathurst :)
Gotta be Tappy with that!

Gotta get really chilly in Bathurst, both great towns but Noosa hey.
Remember helping the fishermen on the border pull there nets in full of mullet.

Nothing wrong with Bathurst besides the coldness :)
Feel free to call past on your way through for a break if its on a weekend or late arvo
Cheers

Already getting sub-zero here and it's not winter yet!
Thanks for the offer Todd but heading inland via New England Highway. Did the coast road last time as I had a few friends to call in and see along the way. This time it's just a straight run with a stop for a few hours kip along the way somewhere.
Gotta be Tappy with that!

Packing is going well, especially with my wife helping. I even made a little meme glorifying her contribution to the packing effort :)

Removalists due at 7am tomorrow to load up. I'll be heading off once they're done, overnight in Armidale and should be in Noosa by Tuesday. Looking forward to the trip, will have my little black Pug for company on the drive, still not sure if that's a plus or minus, :) as my wife is flying up there at 6:30am tomorrow.
Might be a little while before the interwebs is connected up again, reports from a mate up there say Telstra aren't all that keen to put people onto ADSL and try and push their wifi.
Will post when I can!

I wonder if he'll get any sleep tonight or are the thoughts of the Sunshine Coast gonna keep him up all night.

I must have slept a little Mego because every time I looked at the clock it was an hour later :)
The trip went well and the Patrol behaved flawlessly, averaged about 11-12 lph loaded to the gills with boxes.
Only just got the Internet, if you can call it that here, connected. It took a week to get the phone working only to then find out that ADSL is not available in our area and we are forced to use wireless broadband which is bloody expensive and dodgy in terms of speed and connectivity.
I am yet to get to my fishing gear as we are still unpacking boxes, but as it hasn't really stopped raining since we got here so I don't feel too bad about the delay, so far.
Very glad to be here though, shorts and t-shirts weather in winter, gotta love that :)

Thanks Mego. Got a chance to wet a line quickly this morning, a few little, very little, bream were the only inquirers. Today was just a quick location scouting exercise as I haven't fished up here for a LONG time.
Great to be out in the sun, on the riverbank with a line in the water :)

Drive down Hastings street into the Noosa woods, at the third car park on the left (I think it's the third could be second) there is a toilet block, turn left into the car park and walk through to the Water, bait up (fresh shrimp the bomb)
Bream whiting Trevally tailor flathead plenty to choose from.
