GQ speed sensor problem

Hi Guys

I have a 1997 GQ 2.8T I have just received a Dakota CRS-300 cruise control which I was told would work on the patrol. Now after a few emails back and forth to the USA they are now asking me how many pulses per mile does the sender output. From my reading of the manual it is a AC 0.5volt generator. Anyone have any ideas on what to tell them.

This was discussed recently on P4x4.

Copies of the manual are posted in Japanese and didn't state that it included the 2.8 so hopefully the information given is correct and fingers crossed it is the same for 2.8.
