my interior lights blow on a regular basis, in particular the front one,
It doesn't blow any fuses it's just the globe, and it is a pain the have to change the globe so regulary.
Any ideas

Your not touching them on the glass when you install them ? The oils in your skin can cause it to burn out early ive been told

maybe try using an LED globe instead?

Take the whole unit off and check the wire connection for corrosion and tightness also check the earth isn't loose or broken aswell for a start.

I replaced all of my interior globes with LED years ago (when they were expensive) and have never had a problem.

Same as BillsGU every globe is either LED or HID, love the cool white light plus the instant on/off of indicators/brakes.
Plus want to install more under side steps and a strip to look at winch rope, Gotta get LEDs, but check all earths, maybe a bit of wet/dry
to remove corrosion. Which one in particular is blowing central interior?

Another interior light problem.
Light works ok when door is opened but the switch at the light, with it's little ball bearing, is dodgy. Every time I want to switch the light on manually I have to dick around with it to get a decent contact. I fitted an led festoon globe to it yesterday, sometimes only get a dull glow until I 'finesse' the switch lever. Is this a common GU issue & if so what is the best fix?

No problem at the door TD, it's the lever switch at the light making poor contact.

Maybe if I have this right a longer Festoon style LED might make the contact firmer
Read it wrong Might need to tweak on/off lever slightly to make a better contact.
or replace with different style as I have.

hi mate mine was the same i found it to be the switch on the barn doors out of adjustment making the the light flick on and off constantly while driving blowing the bulbs

Go to a wrecker and get another fitting. Shouldn't cost a lot as there wouldn't be a huge demand for them.

Have a look at after market interior led lights, much brighter than OE.
plus if you go for an OE replacement chances are it'll happen again,
plenty of styles out there to suit everyone.
