chip and engine reliability

i was talking to an experienced mechanic the other day and he said i should avoid chipping my crd patrol due to them being an already highly strung engine for small capacity ie 380nm/3.0litre engine but lookin at other crd diesel they can make easy 430nm out of a relatively same size engine has any one had reliability issues and or what kind of reliable power or torque r u guys getting?

Were used Rapid chips at work. Were put them onto a Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, VW Caddy, all common rail, all diesel. Not an issue at all.

As for torque, about 30%ish increase.
