My dear patrol has reached 175,000 and i haven't serviced the pump or injectors. I purchased it at 80K and as far as I know it has never been done.
I took it to the mechanic the other day and commented that is has no power down low (Pre Turbo). He suggested that he had the same problem 12 months ago on his own patrol and that the service had resolved the issue.
I have had a bad batch of fuel in the last 6 months. Not sure if this matters.
What are the chances this is the issue and how much should it cost to be done in Brisbane (south side preferably.)
Thanks in advance for your help

I can make some inquiries for you? I'm not sure about a "pump service" unless they run some sort of treatment through it like diesel purge.

My 04 was playing up on start up, after some injector cleaner in the tank the problem has gone away.

I replaced the injectors on my ZD30DI at 123,000km as part of a Dtronic chip remap. The tuner was disappointed with the results saying he normally gets a bigger bowing of the graphs blaming a low fuel rate. I shelled out $1800 for new injectors and that added around 8kw and 70nm on top of the existing gains from the chip. This was back in early 2011. I think at the time you could buy the injectors off ebay for around $250 each as an OME part. I've now done 190,000km.
You can always try some Chemtech diesel additive as a start
cheers

Ring up Highway Diesel, they can do the whole job. If its non common rail then your looking at about $3k ish for an exchange pump and depending on the injectors, best case $150 plus each, worst case about $230 plus each.
