Hi guys,

So the truck has come with a set of IPF 900's 1 spot and 1 spread, my old boy has a set of Rallye 4000's also 1 spot and 1 spread.

The car goes in to ARB to have the winch bar fitted in a couple of weeks and I was thinking of swapping the IPF's for the Rallye's.

For me the proof is in the photometric data for which I cant find it on either light. Love how the respective websites gives you the basic specs and thats it!!

So I will throw it to the forum! What do you guys reakon, keep the IPF's or go with the Rallye's??

Maybe keep them and upgrade them to HID instead ?

Yep, I'm with Drew! LOL
I upgraded a set of IPF's I picked up on ebay for $120 to HiD. A great light.
The IPFs are known for having a great reflector.
There was a comparison done some time ago by Roothys mob (was actually quite good) that had quite a bit of measured data. My recollection was that the IPFs generally performed better than the Hellas.
Try googling light test 4wd action. I thing I might have come across it via the Lightforce website initially.
Cheers,
Drew

Here's an idea, sell the Hellas and use the money to upgrade to seats like MEGO's'

LMFAO

Thanks guys, im doing a swap with the old boy so whatever ones I decide on, he is taking the others for his Jeep.

Not really interested in HID tbh, unless you plan to be driving at night all the time then a waste if money imo. I used to design intrinsically safe lighting systems for mining applications and if it taught me one thing, High Intensity Discharge lamps are not always a better option, the proof is in the photometric data.
Might have to contact Hella and ARB direct but I reckon I already know the answer from ARB "your after photometric what"! Ha ha ha!!
