Where's it leaking from? Like at the flange where it nips onto the injector or pump or the pipe itself?

Where it nips onto the injector..........spoke to my mechanic and he said that maybe the injectors have a hairline crack in them.

Yeah could be possible but haven't heard of that happening much. What's the sealing surface look like on the injector?

What sort of condition is the return rail in?

On a sd33 mq that i work on, the actual copper washers on the return line was leaking, could this be your leak??

A pic would help heaps mate!!

Now I am really confused, not mechanically minded at all.........Will check out those things next weekend, the only thing that I can think of is that the fuel pump has been modified to increase the diesel to the motor.

Doggie if it is the copper washer style as above, heat them on a gas stove and get them red hot then drop them into cold water, it's called annealing and expands the washer again, used to do it all the time on the old triumph.

Yeah there is a small rail that connects all the injectors together and sometimes if disturbed can crack slightly. If the injector pipe had a leak it would be pretty constant flow due to the pressure in the lines but less so if on the return side.

The modified pump increase volume and even if pressure has been adjusted will still be within the limits o the injector pipe.

Also the fuel lines going into the injector might need to be nipped up a bit or arn't sitting true.

Just wondering if these copper washers are single use only, or need replacing everytime, If designed as a squash washer
IMO I'd say replace the lot with new ones
