A few questions, has anyone had any experience with Dobinson gear? Is it any good?

Dobsion coils are good. But most usually fit a better shock.
Koni pops to mind..
I went a drop in old man emu kit..
Sub $1000 for that kit with the same gear..

Thanks Kallen,
I would be interested in going the OME kit for that price, can you remember where you got it?
The other issue I have is the car as it is has next to nill accessories on it at the moment but I want some extra lift to get me through while I build it up into a touring beast. The final list is pretty massive so do I go for XHD springs now and suffer round town with the ride quality or go HD's and run the risk of a sagging with the additon of new bits?
The eventual plan is to wack a 4" lift in with drop radius arms, the works!

I had no issues with the 4inch Dobinson coils when I had them in, but I went with Rancho adjustable shocks

Well you won't need Xhd rates.. their extreme..
I might be changing soon if you want the springs. There a hd rate, 150-200kg extra I'm pretty sure.
