The rear bar arms are made with that spacing so you can fit two 35s.
Nice looking rig though, no doubt still a big wish lists.

Thanks for the replies. The tyres do stick out a bit from the sides (can see them in my side mirrors) but that is the way they came from Powerful 4x4. They claim you can have 35" tyres on the wheel carrier side by side but that would be ridiculous. The bar has already started to crack and from fitting the towbar is when I noticed the quality of the bar. I would like to move them in further so they don't stick out too much but don't want the bar to fall apart!

Yeah wow that rear bar certainly leaves a heap of room for bigger rubber! Damn though if you can see them now imagine hanging 2 x 35s off it! You'd take out a motorcyclist going the other way!!
Car looks great mate!
I was going to ask what you thought of the powerful bar and you have already answered!! Damn save some more coin for a Kaymar! The Raslar bar looks great that Nisshead got! Might grab one of them.

WTF.. that's not cool... Its unbelievable the crap people put on the market.. if it can't handle the load why suggest it?
Have you had it fixed or modified?

Will take some pics tomorrow arvo and post them up. Has turned out well but I need to install the cargo barrier to support the baseboard so it doesn't break.

Tell me about it. Even the tail lights weren't working when I wired them up (manufacturing flaw). I only noticed the crack the other day when rectifying another issue with the bar. I don't have much time to fix the crack as we are heading to the Cape in June so that will test out the quality of the bar! More than likely save so cash and buy a Kaymar when I can.

I would try and weld the bar before you go, Cape York does take its toll on cheap metal work...lol There are a lot of bars out there comparable if not better then Kaymar for lots less!!! Reaserch!!!
I reckon that bar is illegal with the tyres hanging out that much, do they stick out past the flares???

As nisshead said try get it fixed or you'll be leaving it on the side of the road somewhere..
It should only cost a couple of hundred to fix and also move those wheel carriers in a bit..

I'll have to look into the welding of the bar and moving the wheel carriers in a bit. Here are the pics of the water tank setup. Still have to wire up the pump and test it.

Got it from Opposite Lock in Rockdale, Sydney and its 50 Ltrs in capacity. It's a Boab tank made by Dolium. SE Battery Services, 120 Penola Rd are the stockists in Mt Gambier. They don't come with a hose barb but you can get one off fleabay or from a plumbing place. Dolium sell a kit but you could do it cheaper it you buy all the items yourself.
