Nissan Patrol 2,8 - Startup problems

I am new to this forum, so please bear with me :)

But I own a Patrol from 1999, 2,8 SE, that does not start, do you guys know any "standard" problem, I could look for ?

I assume you have checked battery power?
What does "does not start mean" does the start motor start?
