Hey there! We have recently moved from NSW to Qld and have a GQ Patrol that we put a 5" lift in and 33's for our tyres. We didnt get it engineered in NSW as we were told by the Qld TMR that it would pass here and be easier than doing it in NSW. Although i do believe that it wouldnt be a problem to still have this done in NSW. Now we are in Qld and wanting to transfer the rego over we are being told that its all illegal!! what do we do there has to be a way around it. can any one also help with what the original stock standard Bump Stop may have been or where i can find out these details? We dont want to reverse what we have done but need to transfer the rego over.

If you don't want to change lift then get it engineered that would be your only two ways of doing it

Pretty sure it's a max of 2 inch lift 33s and maybe a 2 inch body , I'm sure some one more informative will be along soon , welcome to QLD

Youll need to know someone who can turn a blind eye,for the road worthy
But once that's done,it wont make it legal, and you get pulled over youll get the fines and demerit point issue

Imo save the head fluck and just buy 3".springs, sell the 5" springs and install some drop out cones, spring retainers and longer stops..
Less attention, a better ride and improved handling, but still insane flex..

3 inch is for winners. I spend most of my work day around traffic coppers and they haven't commented on it once.
