Hi all
I have bought a 2001 ti 4.8 patrol for $15500 about two weeks ago.
It's done 300k and it's shows it to appoint but it has resonantly had a head rebuilt and has papers to prove it although it is still a bit down on power so I have it booked in for a tune at the end of the week so hopefully that helps. Also on my first tank of gas it used 35.5l per 100km so I looked on a couple of forms and swapped the two oxygen sensors around and after that it idled better on petrol and I got 30l per 100km on gas. Then I did the power valve mod went up rocky track (witch I was quite surprised that I crawled most of the way up only having trouble in a couple of spots) and I gave the car a bit of a hard time on that tank of gas but I still got down to 25l per 100km. Ill let everyone know how I go after it has a tune but it seems that the engine has loosened up since I have had it.
I also have plans to turn it into a real 4wd.
So list of things I want to do to it are:
1: ARB bull bar and side rails/steps
2: old man emu 2" lift
3: a front air locker
4: 4.11 diff ratios
5: a set of 33"s for my on road set of tyres and I'm thinking 35"s for my off road set
6: a rear bar
If I can get everyone's thoughts on all of this and any suggestions of what else I should do to it would be appreciated
