Hello everyone, can some one tell me if the 1998 GU came with a rear limited slip diff as standard. If not, are there any identifiable marks / numbers to look for ?

Yep, I believe this is the case. But factory lockers have come out in the GQ and GU models too

Jack the back up, take out of gear.
Spin one of the Back tyres - watch the other tyre
Same direction - LSD fitted
Oposite direction to the way you are turning your tyre - open diff.
