Hi All

We live in Mt Evelyn, which is an eastern suburb of Melbourne just north of Mt Dandenong. We get around in a silver 2007 GU St 4.8. We use the vehicle for camping/touring and use it to getting around a rural property in Central Vic.

We have the standard accessories/mods, UHF radio, 2 inch lift, Tradesman steel roof rack, cargo barrier, rear LED light on homemade extendable painters pole, cheap tigerz11 winch on factory steel bar. I have upgraded the headlight wiring and put in some normal wattage philips aftermarket headlamps ( i think +70 or something like that). This made a great difference to the standard wiring and bulbs.

I have just completed a couple of mods that have been annoying me for some time. That was the high beam instrument lamp was way to bright and wasn't dimmable by the dash dimmer. So I found the wiring to the lamp and put a resistor in series with it. I haven't had a chance to test at night as yet.

The second mod I near completed today was adding a speedo correction unit to fix the speedo error. My speedo was reading 10% high. So at 100km/h it was indicating 110km/h. I built the Jaycar kit and it worked great. The only issue with this that the ODO will read lower on the actual trip meter. Currently it was very accurate.

I will post up these mods in the mod section shortly.

All for now.
