Dick Cepek FC IIs or Mickey T ATZ 4 ribs

I have been running 285/75/16 FC IIs on 16X8 Kings Wheels, am now going back to the original 17X8 alloys. i have been happy with both the performance and wear.

FC IIs are now exclusive to Bob Jane, rrp for 285/70/17 is $455 ea or $425 if I buy 8 (6 for Patrol, 2 on the camper), I can get MT ATZs for around the same pricing through a mates business (I'd rather support him, ................. but

So my question is for those that have used both tyres, which one would you buy again. My driving is 20% tar 70% gravel & sand and around 10% rough stuff.

for me its either mickey thompson or bfg all the way there the ones i have used since i started 4bying and my dad swears by BFG A/T's since i was a kid so its been past down to me

Mate I run 285/75/16 atz 4 rib and payed 360 a corner fitted and balanced. Seems pretty pricey maybe more for the 17's. I have only run the atz and love them god all all surface. I do a fair few country and bush roads and farm work

I've now put about 5,000 ks on the ATZs I eventually bought.

Can't say that I notice any real difference in the performance over the FC IIs I ran previously. It will be interesting to see what the wear rates by comparison.

The BIG difference is the extra noise generated by the ATZs on tar. They are much louder when compared to the FC IIs. Need to crank the stereo up an extra notch :)

Gravel/dirt roads one mud run and across the Simpson, (should have read travelled 8,000 ks not 5), I had done the Simpson twice before on the FC IIs, no noticeable difference in performance.

Ive got the FC's on mine and cant fault them. Havent owned the car long enough to try another brand to compare
