Sub tank warning light

Hi is any one aware of what the sub tank warning light means
It just came on for no reason with aprox 1/2 tank full
Ps series 6 patrol

There's a few threads here on this issue.

Sub tank warning light comes on and it won't transfer....If that's the issue try and disconnect your battery for a while and it should fix it ...Good luck

Found those old posts off to clean the earth lead see if that fixes it

Update
Found the earth cable was slightly corroded on the engine block
And the body earth had paint insulating the earth bond
Cleaned these off and problem all solved
Thanks to everyone that posted these issues it saved a lot of headache's
