Hi all

Has anyone mounted an awning on side of vehicle without a roof rack.
I am looking to mount awning (yet to be purchased) on metal roof canopy of my GUIV ute.
Roof is 1.6mm steel over 25mm steel frame with canvas sides. Full size tray so canopy is 2.4m long
Not keen on drilling holes (presently water proof) but can't see any alternative.

I have just bolted one to my canopy if you want some pics? I ended up having to drill holes but you could get away with welding your brackets on. It's easy enough to make it water proof again.

I also bent my flat brackets down as opposed to up like most mount kits are.
awning sat at gutter height. ATM have made a purpose built roof platform the incorperates light bar and awning brackets all
in one. Its being powder coated ATM .
