Any body up the high country over the Easter break know the guy in the GU Dual cab that broke in two on Billy goat. This guy had an alloy box on the back 10 solid guys could not lift. The chassis broke both sides in front of shock towers on the back. After un loading he spooled out the winch over the roof onto his towbar and winched it back into position as best he could.
the care factor was very low.

My mate was in the area at the time, heard banter about it on the radio but didn't see anything.

Yep, they make shock tower supports for the GUs, it's a well known weak point

Did'nt hear about tht one but did hear about the DSE at parkers corner having to bring workers in on there holidays to recover rolled 4x4's around donnellys crk area over easter.
So what you say, well one problem the area is still closed from the fires,so all those guys will be fined and thier insurence company won't cover them because the track was closed.
