Could someone tell me what your equal to the european patrol GR y60 rd 2800 is, as I believe you call this a Maveric.
Anyway, good to be here, hope to learn from you all...

Hi mate and welcome to the forum - over here we have the GQ Patrol and Ford Maverick (which was a GQ badged as a Ford). Not sure if that answers your question but someone with a GQ or Mav might be able to give you a better answer.

Hi aldo. Yes there is definitely Nissan patrols here, but as well as the GQ patrol sold by nissan, we had the same car sold by Ford with the name Maverick. They no longer do this with the new GU patrols.

'hi Jaycee,
Just for information, what does GQ and GU stand for, as we don`t know about it here.
My ride is a 1989 GR 2800td short chassis, which is the most commen here.
I`m trying to find out what model in austalia fits my rig.
You have so much info in this forem, i`m still wresting through.
Hope you could fill me in.
take care , Aldo

Hi Aldo,

As far as I know, the GR is the left hand drive version of the GQ. I think many parts would be interchangeable, but i'm not an expert i'm sorry.

See this wiki page for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Patrol

Cheers,
Jaycee

My rid is a 1989 patrol GR 2.8 TD. It`s a short chassis, and has about 250k.
Starts up winter time after -15 night, no prob. Hardly no oil use.
Think indeed it`s gq like, as far as i found out.

Welcome to the forum. I have a 93 Safari (JDM grey market import). Starting at -15 is very impressive.
