Secret Patrol wave

Just got back from a week camping along the Murray River from Robinvale to the Murray Sunset Nat Park.
Got a few waves and nods from other Patrol drivers, mostly from drivers in Patrols that were loaded up for a trip.
So my question is, is there a secret patrol wave or nod? Or if not should we invent one?

Must admit I haven't had many waves from other patrol owners. Years ago when driving my old landy, I'd get a wave from other landy drivers 100% of the time. Miss those moments.

I get waves all the time, more so by the blokes who have obviously spent a lot of time and money on their rigs

To make it properly exclusive may I suggest that we pump the air twice, (symbolizing the excitement of conquering a hill climb), put on the face you use in one of those brown pants moments, (symbolizing one of those brown pants moments), then laugh and point, (symbolizing the feeling when you see a landcruiser stuck attempting to follow you!)

I get 2 differnt kinds of looks whan driving the patrol(on dual lane highway). No waves as such.1 is a smug "yeah what ever" kind of look as it looks like a farm ute with lift. This is generally by the younger generation.which is in fact my generation lol. in hiluxs that look cool. That is usually is follwed by them dropping back a cog and feeding it to show me the awsome power of the 2.8l diesel. I then drop it back a cog and feed it and fly past them watching their smug look get wiped off their face as I hand their arse to them on a silver platter. I really do love it when that happens lmao

The second look is by someone who knows what they are looking at and I get a nod of approval. To which I reply with a thumbs up and we continue on our merry way.

I don't drive slow enough to pay attention unless i give someone way or they let me pass in a tight street then i'll wave. I did at one stage see another trol with the "Other forum" sticker on it and got a dirty look from him so i had to open the window and yell out to him " What the F---- is your F----ing problem ", that could be a wave ?? Lol

Some good ideas there, keep them comeing we might actuly have a way of identifying forum members when out on the road.

A unique NP Forum wave should be invented. I'm always on the lookout for NP stickers but there may be many like me who don't like stickers on their vehicles. Gotta be a one-hand signal of some sorts.

My suggestion: the "OK" signal used by divers. Thumb and forefinger touched together with middle, ring and pinky fingers pointing up.

If it's a fellow NP member we'll know it, and if they're not a member they'll just think you like their rig. Non offence or confusion either way.

Amazing. Megomonster put upphotos of his car that weren't followed by his seats!!

But I find I get a lot more waves in the bush, as the bush sorts the show ponys from the real enthusiasts!
