So the call went out for a Member down on his luck that had bought a Lemon.

Bloody Aussie put the call out
27575
Healy needed Help and Nissanpatrol.com.au really came to the Party.

Members stood up and made generous contributions to the cause and the money started adding up. Ol mate Jas put his hand up and the we have been blown away by the how much help and comradary being displayed by our members.

Brett from 4x4 Obsession stood up and gave some quality parts desperately needed.

BA got a great deal on new tyres! Unbeatable price from Jeff from Capital Tyre in Thomastown

27589
Alitis007 (George) stood up and offered to fit the clutch and gear box on his hoist in his workshop. Bloody champion.

The list is long. So Toddie if you were offered a hoist would you do the next one on the ground? Or use a workshop generously offered?

At 7pm on Easter Saturday we are doing OK.

There is a heap to do next weekend and we choose to do this this weekend for safety. This will allow for the car to be worked on in other area next week.

Plenty is socializing too next week.

Would not need to think about it Daz, workshop on a hoist........would of been a much easier job...............I would even wear my skirt and high heels is I had the offer 2 a workshop :)

I have plugged Bretts workshop on my FB and NP's face book page :):):) and can you send me Georges details too when u get a chance so I can plug his workshop as well :) or get George 2 send them 2 me please

Pulled the pin at 9pm when the gearbox support needed a Helicoil.

George will go back Easter Sunday for. Couple of hours to finish it, fill the fluids and bleed the new clutch.

9.45 pm and pulled into Maccas on the ring rd for some dinner. 45mins from home.

Been a big couple of days.

Not a chance mate....... plenty still to do!!!

I am buggered.. not from today so much but I went shooting last night and got to sleep after 3am then the little one woke bright and early.. oh the pain.

I did enjoy myself though swapping stories and occasionally lending a hand to George who is a Nazi control freak!!!

No really George is brilliant and has been so generous with his time with this build,no rush jobs here and everything and been done professionally and with patients.

Daz and I chewed the fat from our motorcycling days and bored the crap out of the young fella's ... good to bore the young ones!!!!

Found heaps of small problems that might have been in issue if we were not in a full workshop and lucky we were there.

Thanks guys and good luck tomorrow.

Well after a couple of hours ( including hold time) of calling every spare parts retailer in a 10km radius and educating 3/4 of them on what a Recoil / helicoil is ( one even told me he didn't have an ignition coil set for a ZD30 listed, no jokes people) we got a bolt sizing issue sorted.

After a quick test drive i was happy with it then handed the keys over to Healy and we dropped past Jonathan's slapped on the bar and off i went.

BTW John (TD) Adonis is the Greek gods gift to women but in fact i have a head on me like a half eaten pastie lol

Yesterday i rudely asked Megomonster to stay on topic and i like to thank him again for editing his post which has been removed now but i would also like to ask everyone else to stay close to the topic as possible. I like to thank everyone again for all their generosity. Till next week Cheers!!

... Anyone can fit a gear box and clutch but ...

Mate, not quite true, I know I'd struggle. It's not just that you're doing it, but a whole bunch of you guys are giving up the prized Easter weekend and then more time again next week. I'm sure a couple of months back everyone had other plans, but have pulled this together anyway.

Just want to jump in and say again what everyone has already said and already know, but this whole thing is just SENSATIONAL which ever way you look at it. So pleased for Healy and his family - nice to get a break when things have been going tough.

Top effort to you young fella - you're a credit to the place and to yourself ... wish there was more like you (sadly there's not these days, which makes your efforts that much more refreshing to see!).

Can't wait for the weekend lads - got the hydraulic spring rams sorted and the "la coo ca racha" horn ready for install, so we should make the local Hispanic community very proud!!! That's what Healy wanted right??

LMFAO!!!

I am glad you are coming around there George... I do have to thank Georges dad Harry and also his brother Billy who is a gentle giant with a heart of gold..... driving around picking up parts and for such a young man full of so much knowledge.

Now Healy's dad has offered to pay for some suspension parts as the ones on this truck are rooted and if they arrive on time they will be fitted before the meet but if they come late then that is another job added to the list?? was like driving a boat?

Now that sway bar link on the left side is rattling away and needs some attention??

Great to see some companies outside the forum willing to pitch in and I reckon a few people will remember that when looking about for gear/advice or need work on their truck.

Can't go past all the big effort from the members including yourself. They've all been mentioned (and thanks to the photos, now seen as well!).

It's all good, Kallen, I was in Bendigo to go camping up the Lodden river, but a family member was called away to work, so we had to feed their livestock. That killed the trip, but meant I could get to AB's place. Another good thing about getting to AB's was I didn't have to help strip the second head out of Dad's V6 Craparoo. (one was enough and it didn't come out easily).

It's a nice drive now suspension is getting done my dad has jumped on board lol and my whole family is just blown away from the generosity from all you wonderful people and so am I. For the people that have met me and who will meet me you will realize I'm not much of a talker and I am greatfull so please if you think I'm not greatfull I just like to say I am truly greatfull I just find it hard to express in words and to be truthfully honest still in shock with how this community has helped and my son keeps saying to me look at the tyres dad he loves them and so do I so I'd like to say it again thanks to all and hope you have had a great weekend

When I got back to AB's on Sunday, there were many blokes ambling around with squinty, glazed eyes.

Light bar will be put on the front of that bar when I work out a nice bracket for it. If I leave that and the winch there it will block to much air to the radiator

Winnie

That would be better, on top of the bar you're blocking the intercooler. It's a lose lose situation! lmao

That light bar will block sweet f.a air to the radiator. My IPF's are way bigger than your light bar and it hasn't affected my cooling at all...

I haven't noticed any difference with my spotties on the front either.

Winnie

Can't say I have either, light bar is sleeker too so think you'll be pretty safe Healy!

Yeah I'm talking with a winch also

Winnie

You won't notice it mate. Leave it there and see how it goes, if you notice it running a bit warm then think about moving it.

Airflow with a Winch and Light bar will be absolutely fine! I run Lightforce 240s on the front of mine and that is 3 times the size of your light bar healy. Certainly way way way better than on top of your bar. The air flow disruption to your intercooler will be ridiculous.

Stop trying to get out of it Healy. You ain't gonna win. The light bar on top of the bar looks garbage and disrupts the already limited airflow into the IC.
