View Full Version : Air filter for the TD42t

I've just purchased a JDM Safari TD42t that comes with a round canister style filter housing, with a filter in it that has a D6329/A5061011 set of numbers on it. It is completely different from the filters for the Patrol/Safari that I have looked at online and have had various ships try to sell me. I have the owners manual, but it indicates that the filter would be either oval, rectangular or a canister located in a different part of the engine.
Any suggestions as to what I have here? I googled the numbers and nothing came up.

Sorry, that should be SHOPS try to sell me. The owners manual is not much use, BTW - since I do not read Japanese and have no one to translate.

And yes, that is ice visible in the first one. Over a foot of snow last week around here. You can see why I bought the Patrol.

Did you purchase the low roof sister to my turbo beer cooler from Mark? If you did I drooled when I saw it at auction.

The air filter you need is for a ZD30 - Ryco Part Number A1412

There are no ZD30 (thank goodness) in Canada. Doug has a (1994 I think) Y60 Safari with the TD42T.

I know Doug has a TD42, but that filter box looks all the world to be the same as a ZD30, So hopefully he can track a filter that would suit.

If it helps the air filter for my 2006 TDi42 is Ryco A1412 also.

ZD30 is 16546-VC10A, TD42T Y60 Safari is 16546-51N01 ($86 from Nissan). Either may fit but they are not the same size. Dunno about the TD42Ti.

It's certainly a different box. Does anyone know if the rd28 filters are different? It looks like an rd28 box and would make sense being in a GQ.

Depends what RD28 and domestic market.

Looks like the same air filter housing as I have. Check the numbers on the housing.
The filter I currently have in there has the number AF126SL on it, not sure of the manufacturer, but it cross references to Ryco A1412.
