View Full Version : gu washer bottle self draining.

my 2007 patrol drains out the washer bottle from the rear wiper whenever the patrol is parked with the front higher than the rear, a real pita ,any ideas how to stop this ????

Lots of solutions posted here, mine does the same. I think it's the grommet where the motor fits into the bottle. Try some silicon around the grommet or a new grommet. Some replace the motors to fix the problem!

The issue is a valve that cost about $15. Where it is located is not known to me. I cut the tube and fitted the new valve. All working fine.

Is the valve in the tube?

The checkvalve is like a joiner. It requires pressure to work from the washer bottle motor to allow water to flow through.

First and best info from me in a long time. I purchased 2 of these for Bigrig and myself a year or so ago. Don't think Scotty's is in yet the slack bugger.

That is a Rippa! i am going to buy one as my front wipers leak when i am on a Big hill! ;) Drives me nuts

I see from this link price is $15 checked with local nissan dealer quoted $5 ......thats got to be a first...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have thought Nissan would be opposite - $51
