So the "wannabe" was looking a little sad so I thought I'd slip her front end into something a little more sexy. A quick stop into super cheap later and it was game on. (did I mention that I got my paint for $1.60 a can?)

This is how she looked when she was looking a little bit like a smashed crab

Masking is the worst part

Looking better now.

Much better, couple of ugly bits and some small runs but hey no biggy, it was my first time and I was using rattle cans so I had low expectations.

Any tips on further painting will be much appreciated :trink13:

Good job mate. Looks great.

If your going to head off road then cut that bottom bar off that hang below the box section. Nisshead killed his early on day one at Woods Point and cut it off in the bush.

Cut it off with a hack saw and touch it up with your rattle can.

Mate just told me that not two hours ago hahaha.

Job for tomorrow. Get on the grinder.

Being Alloy you might find the grinder might clag up a bit and an 18t blade on a Hack saw will make short work of it.

Yup, and can avoid some nasty injuries from disks exploding. Nice job on the bullbar, will be giving mine a respray soon. Only problem is its already painted, but peeling off in sections.

I went a little further than just cutting the centre tube out on mine..... Cut off everything below the main bumper section..... Did it with a 4 in angle grinder with no issues of clogging or disc breaking.

Clearance is so much better for it

Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....

The bottom bit on the bar will be fine as it is for general touring duties and light off-road work. You only need to chop it off if you are planning on getting into a little more hardcore stuff.
