Hi, first time I've done a caliper rebuild on my 1990 Mav.
I knew I had a small leak on the left front caliper, but I'd been told by the mechanic (when I was having LPG issue repaired) that there was no hurry to fix, just 'keep an eye on it'. Eventually decided it was time to replace boots, seals and pistons - which I did.
However, I noticed one of my pad retaining clips was missing! So, where would I be likely to get a replacement? Wreckers? Repco? It's a Saturday evening so I can't call around.
Also, is there any way I could make one up myself just to get my by until I can find a replacement? What would be the best material to use?
Apologies if these questions sound idiotic (I'm showing my 4x4 inexperience), but I spent a few bucks on parts so far so would like to get some advice from other forum members before I turn it all into an expensive lesson.
Oh, and I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, so hello to all - this is an awesome resource for everyone concerned...
