Hi Guys,

Can Threebond sealer be used on timing belt covers?

It does list it is designed to be used on timing chain case,

Obvisiouly gasket would be the easyer way, but I would think threebond would do the same job?

If you squeeze it in the groove where the seal is supposed to be and let it cure it will act like a rubber seal just stronger, if you glue it on it will be a PITA to clean if you need to remove the cover. I mainly use the 1207B its a bit thicker and sets faster then the grey or red.

Or use loctite 515 best stuff around

gaskets are cheap, use the gastet and just smear some 3bond on it. works great.
