If I had to live down sth, Geelong would be on the top of my list. I grew up in Melbourne and don't miss it at all.

The road that heads to the Spirit of Tasmania would have to be the best, but don't tell anyone, we like it quiet down here:-)

Head North to Bendigo (150 K's)
Population over 100,000
Great Climate
Close enough to Melbourne for Shows and Big Events
Close to Murray River for Fishing
Near enough to travel across to the High Country
The Centre of Victoria so easy to travel in all Directions

Thomastown is bar far the greatest, the home of illegal drag racing and used to be vl turbo central!! When it rains you can still watch P platers try and drift and crash into things lol

I love melbourne, greatest city in oz. We have the best facilities for just about any event available to Australia. Yes there is some crappy places here but what town or city doesn't? Plus the best wheelin' terrain.
I tapped that app...

Flew to Melbourne and borrowed my sons C'dore Ute and travelled the whole circuit. The west was pretty sad and unemployment must be a problem. Great people and sites. Beaconsfield was good and we spent a week in my mates cabin at St Helens. At one stage we ran into two young back packers from Canada that wanted a lift after walking 100km out of a national park........St Clairs I think.......said we only had the ute and couldnt. My wife said we cant leave them, they are cold, hungry and worn out...........so with their consent loaded them in the back of the unit and took them to their next destination, gave them a feed and a couple of cans of Bundy Rum.

You rekon? Last time i was there, i drove off the highway and thought i was lost driving thru some forrest then on the bridge over some massive river where every man and his dog was tearing it up on boats and jet ski's (probably on finance lol ) then out of nowhere a Centro shipping center pops up with goat herders driving Mercs and BMW's every where and a few other cars that probably have been pinched from Melb and rebirthed (number jobs) there lmao

Thats Station pier on Beach rd in Port Melbourne.
I didn't mention Chapel street where you go do a few chap laps / mainies then head down to the Princess (Princess freeway) for some high speed runs or racing!! When my mate had his GQ TB42 running straight lpg and a BIG fork off turbo would leave R33's and 200sx's by car lengths lol

That's the one!
Why on earth would anyone want to live in a city if they didn't have to? (let alone a town). All that noise, all those people, all that traffic & pollution, takes hours to get out of, just being there drains the money out of your pocket. Nah, gimme the bush, the Wedge tail eagles, the wallabies, roos, echidnas, wombats & the parrots any day! Noisiest thing around here is our bloody rooster.
As for Queensland - they have some nice spots up there, but they can't help plastering danger signs & boardwalks all over them.
Let's all sing ............I'm a Mexican & I'm ok, I sleep all night & potter all day. :)

Couldn't agree more. I live in the middle of Thorpy and reckon it's too noisy... Used to live out in Childers and it was great... Kookies were the loudest things there.

Lets get some facts here.....Australia was voted the most livable country in the world. Victoria got voted the most livable state in Australia. Warrandyte (east side of Victoria) got voted the most livable town in Victoria.
Warrandyte (East Victoria region) seems to be the most livable place in the world.....Case closed...lol

Well it does seem to make sense logically....
Obviously no actual Australians were included in that voting process ...
