Sadly I think they are OEM, some guys have modified switches, but OEM is the go. Even 2nd hand from the wreckers they are close to new price.

Pull them apart and that bloody microscopic ball bearing will pop off the spring never to be found again. I like your suggestion.

Not doubting this worked, but i can't see how you managed to get the spray to the contacts ?
Here is the rear switch from mine, to get to the contacts, the spray has to travel down between the door trim and the switch cover (bit you push/pull) , then bounce back up inside, then go back down to the white section, then get under the switch slide cap, up over the wall, then onto the contacts ?

Where do you spray and How much do you have to pump in ?
BTW, the rear window switches are easy to pull apart and service, the springs are not under huge tension so ball bearings are easy to collect (work in a empty bath if your not sure, but put plug in,lol)
Just put a small amount Dielectric Grease on the ball bearings, then they will stick to the springs for easy re-asssembly.

Hey O4OFF,
If you end up buying a new switch can I buy your knacker switch off you? Or anyone off this thread for that matter!
When fitting new rear door speakers before Christmas I split one of the rear switches getting it out of the door card and split the bloody thing in the wrong spot and it spat the bearing and spring to god knows where!!! I found everything bar the spring!!!' I just need the spring!
If you have a dead switch lying around I'd be real keen to grab that bloody spring please!
Cheers in advance to anyone that may have a dead switch!

He-he, yeh , i just really wanted to try and understand how the spray could get in, as i remember the switches being quite well sealed if you left you window down and it rained.
