Does anyone on here know where I can find the petrol tank that goes into a gas converted gq ? It has to fit in front of the diff on the drivers side. Will a gu sub tank fit or do I have to get one made. Any answers would be great. Cheers guys

Pretty sure you'd be looking for a 75ltr long range second tank setup.
As for gu, well the chassis of q and u are the same, not sure about under body, so I'd be ringing some engineering joints who make them, and ask.
Pretty sire superior are one joint who make them as kits.
How much do you need?

I would keep an eye on eBay mate, they come up fairly often.
I think Westy was asking what capacity you want as there are long range subs which will hold 75 and standard is only 35 or so...not 100%sure
Not sure if GU one fits mate

I just need the tank. Thanks nisshead I seen that one and asked the seller if he could ship to Sydney but got no reply. That's the kinda one I'd be looking for. I've rang a few wreckers but can't seem to find one.

I know of a guy here in SA that fitted a Torana ( think it was an lh/lx fuel tank) under the right hand side where the dual fuel tank goes.. I also know that some of the Jap ute/ van tanks (mitzis, mazda/holden rodeos) are fitted behind cabs etc in a sim place to where the GQ tanks go, so if your on a budget and dont mind if you only have a 60 ltr petrol tank.. you could look at this option.. just take a trip to ya local commercial wreckers and size em up...
or maybe look here... if you dont mind spending some cash http://thelongranger.com.au/patrolgqlongrangefueltank.html
