help needed with 2001 3.0 litre turbo diesel

hi i have a turbo diesel patrol and when i drive it now it doesnt feel right it feels very slugish almost as if the turbo isnt working can it hear it spooling but nothing else any ideas on what the problem is?

also the catch can is that supposed too have much oil in it

any information on what it could be thanks in advance

Check all your hoses. Intercooler etc. Could be loose or split.

only other bit of information i can give is the engine has done 310xxxkm and yesterday went on a 10 hour drive before this all happening

Thats pretty good ks for a 3.0L i had mine rebuilt at 200,000 as it had a cracked head. Plenty info on the good old zd30 engine here and on the net (unfortunately not all good)

Have you tried cleaning or replacing your MAF?

The early ones were known to give trouble like this after a while.

its going too the shop tomorrow so soon will find out

got my car back from the shop first service since owning the car $1200 later needed new air flow meter and filter fuel filter as well as having the gear box transfer case and rear diff oils changed runs alot better now

Did they replace the MAF sensor or just clean your old one???

Lol I was thinking the exact same...... Oil, filter n new afm plus 1000 lab for a 2 sec job, maybe we should open a workshop if its that easy to make coin

Even at $250 tops for an OE maf thats still a lot of coin. IMO

Mate $250 tops for a maf these days and even at that u can find alot cheaper
