same thing happens in NSW, i hope they set a precedent in SA to help other states with the same problem!

Think its the same here in QLD, but if you want, you can not pay for the expired two weeks, and start the rego from the date you pay.

But ,this means your car has been UN-registerd, so you need to hand in your plates, get a roadwothy certificate, take time off work to go to transport , fill out paperwork, probly pay a heap of stamp duty, then you have a new rego number, so you need to change rego details with insurance , toll tag etc.

So taking the money for 2 week rego off you and back dating it, is actually doing you a favour :D
