Heya guys, I am looking at finally getting some bigger rubber for the Mojomobile as its now way over due.

I have a 2inch lift on it and she has the the nissan 16 "alloys ( 3 spoke ones) and she has the factory flares. ( not the mav fibreglass ones the screw on factory plastic ones )

what I would like to know is what with 33's will go on without having to change the flares from standard.

I am looking at getting some Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ

I know that LT285/75R16 (33/11.50R16LT) will fit no worries, but I can get LT305/70R16 (33/12.50R16LT) for $35 cheaper per tyre, will they stick out past the flares ???

I run 305 MTZs on 16 x 8 rims, they just fit in side the GU
You might need to screw some Bunnings garden edging to extend flares a bit more.
Some of the GQ guys would have a better idea

12.5s will hangout 11.5s are just on the edge I think. Sorry just noticed for a 16" id say you would be all good on both sizes as your offset wont be so big

I have cruiser offset, -22 I believe, rims with 12.5's and they just, and I mean only just, stick outside the guards. 305s are only 12 in and factory alloys are -16 I think so you will be fine.

I have a GQ with the Alloys and standard flares and 2 inch lift. I spent quite a bit of time measuring everything up. The standard 3 spoke alloy rim is +5 offset and with the standard 265 70 tyre you should be 25mm inside the guard. The 285 75 are 20mm wider (10mm extra on each of the inside and outside) so you will still be 15mm inside the guard. With the 305 70s you will be 5mm inside the guard. I thought that sidewall ballooning would make some difference but both the Wranglers and now the Coopers are about the same.

Standard offset 15x7 sunnies with 31x10.5's and have about 25-30mm spare...
