Injected or carby? Carby just lacks a little power and you won't get the power from just doing extractors and exhaust good car in my opinion I just sold mine but need to put the injection kit on

Healy I have several R31 Skylines lying around so the EFI route-non turbo- is the way I'm heading but also with efi I'll redo the current impco system and go to a venturi system with a OMVL converter.Tthe actual power loss should be no more than a couple of Kilowatts on lpg but torque may be up.

If you've got the parts, then by all means go the EFI way, but I have found simplicity is best. A small fault in the electronics can mean the difference between getting home or getting towed. As for the fuel starvation that the carbies are purported to have, I haven't encountered it ... yet. I have been thinking of installing a cold start injector from an efi bush bomb, I own, just in case that problem arises.

I encounted the fuel stavation on a hill - was ok on LPG.

They have plenty of power off road- but I had been running L28 in my MQ, (I dropped the rb30 into my MK)

A simple mod for the carby donk - is to remove the heater element that sits under the carby.

A skyline EFI conversionis the easyier way to go EFI - the loom is separete. On the VL the loom goes to the dash etc as well.

I now have a gq with a TB42Carby - it has mmore go then the rb30 - uses more jusice as well.

Have a good look at the rear axle on the brake dust shield, if oil is leaking, the oil seals are gone. I had to change them out within months of buying my Trol.
Apart from that and the fuel control relay,( under the drivers side kick panel) and a few carbie glitches, I have had a really good run with the Rb30.
