Boost settings/air flow readings data, cold, GU8 or GU7 please, PLEASE.

Hi guys

Well getting closer to ironing out my bugs with cold start issue, not a fuel filter, not and air filter.

Basically i narrowed it down to an air flow/boost/turbo issue.

When cold, the car misfires when the boost at 2000 rpm is not 3-4 psi. The same happens when reversing when hot, there is very little boost.

What i need to get is some data from anyone with a scan gauge or ultra gauge.

I would like the following data for air flow/boost, all under no load when cold please.

1) idle, no load
2) fast idle, no load
3) 2000 rpm, no load.

Data from any car but if it has an exhaust it would be great.

Kinda urgent, before she goes back to Nissan and a diesel mech.

Idle 0psi
Fast idle. 1psi
2000rpm. 5psi

yeha you see, theres my problem.

idle = 0 psi
fast idle = 0.5 psi
2000 rpm = 0.8 to 1.5 psi

i will add though when running warm boost is all good as per normall.

Spoke to a couple of diesel mechs, sounds like an EGR issue and or timing.

Off to Nissan we go to find it all out

Ok so booked into MR nissan

I have had one of my mates check a stock car and his car was as follows.

Idle = 0 psi
2000rpm = 0.9 Psi

PLEASE could i have more data

Just to add, my figures were with a scangauge type device, not a proper boost gauge.

Go to a dealer to take one for a test drive. Plug your gauge in while you're at it ;)

Same exhaust as Nisshead's, and pretty much the same figures as he got.

Dealer doesn't have one on loan.

Thanks guys. Car booked in on Thursday for two days. We will see what they find. I suspect EGR issue perhaps.
