Hi, I had a pertronix non lobe sensing igniter but it stopped working, so I got a new one that is lobe sensing, fitted it and all was well for 2 months til it packed up. Luckily the dealer replaced it but now the vehicle wont start with the new one. I do have a new coil because I broke the + terminal off but it reads 4 ohms so should be fine. It starts straight away with points and condenser but hardly shows any sign of firing up with the igniter. Pertronix 1762 LS. I have tested voltage, connected coil + directly to battery etc but no difference. Can anyone shed some light please?:1087:

Hi mate. Not sure what the problem is but I have posted test instructions for the pertronix coil and ignitor. You'll find them in the manuals section

Cool,so I found the article in the other manuals section but can't view it until I have made 25 posts. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get the vehicle to work with the igniter?

You must be looking at the wrong thread. I've uploaded test instructions for the pertronix ignitor that is in a separate thread. It's called pertronix test instructions.
Edit:
If you can't download then just get your post count up by welcoming a few new members and joining in a conversation or two. You'll have 25 posts in no time. Just dont post rubbish;-)
