Brought the old girl mid 2012 stock standard from an old man that used to use it as a shopping vehicle (sad but good for me). Had never been on the beach and had barely seen anything else then tarmac. It already had a winch bar and winch installed so a very big plus. Very good deal for 6K.
This how i got it.

Then i installed some 2" lifted king springs.

Then I got hooked and wanted more mods so i got a snorkel

Then built my own turbo kit and installed it one weekend

Nice neat rig there bud. Any plans to scrap that flexy tubing? It won't be doing you any favors on the intake side o things. It's always a good buy when you get it from an older owner.

Brought myself some 4" flexy coils and 6" suspension stuff monotube shocks because I was getting bored of the HD springs. Made a huge difference in off-road driveability. Awesome flex now.

Diesel-Mate....looks like a great buy, and very clean. Well done on your purchase and mods - coming along nicely. It reminds me of my old truck which I loved to bits.
The only thing that stands out, and it could be just the photos, is the tinting on the windows looks really dark ( just like the way I would have it if it were legal ). You would have to be unlucky, but you could get pinged for it being too dark.

Yeah your right mate the tint is way too dark. It makes it horrible to reverse in the dark so i have to make sure the path is clear before jumping in the car. It must have been on for years before the laws of tinit came in.

Hi Diesel-Mate, the truck is looking really nice.
Just an idea regarding the headlights though… You may get busted for having illegal headlights if you just put HID bulbs in normal headlight lenses, as it doesn't refine the light properly and makes it really bad for other drivers. They aren't road legal in Aus, and the police are hitting people about it. I got HID projectors from Mick. here on the forum and they are fantastic, as well as road legal.
My cousin got a unroadworthy sticker on his car by the police for having HIDs in normal headlights. Just a heads up…

Yeah thanks mate, these aftermarket headlights I brought are meant to be designed for the hids but if they still scatter I will point them more at the ground or put them in my spotlights.

Mick's projector lights still aren't legal, as much as they should be.

Fitted a lift pump to help out with the fuel starvation issue under higher revs. It's a solid state 3-4 psi facet pump and it does its job quite well. It came with 1/8 ntp to 5/16 barb but the gq metal fuel lines are 3/8 so I had to go to auto bahn and get some new fittings. I brought a 90 degree 1/8 ntp to 3/8 barb fitting and another one the same but straight. I connected the 12v for the pump to the fuel solenoid on the back of the injector pump. This way the pump with only go when the ignition is to the on position.
