View Full Version : ref wire for Steinbauer CRD

hi just a quick one, im fitting my Steinbauer today but need help sorting out the reference wire. where abouts do i join it to the throttle position cable? and im guessing its only one of the 4 wires that go to the maf sensor??
help!

You need the white with a red line. It can be found at the peddal.

One is to go to the maf? That's new then, mine only plugs into the fuel rail ,accelerator, earth and pos

i was correcting my op where i said 4 wires. i was refering to the wires on the maf sensor. i just wanted to know which one to tap onto. we having a bit of a go now. so would i attach it near the maf sensor or the pedal?

Tap in at the pedal( just follow instructions and you will need a multi meter), yes the black plugs in the middle of the pic, can be annoying to get your hands in unless they are lady like lol

theres a blue wire that comes out of the pedal reads .7 with accelerater out and 3.7 with it in. dark blue cable. any idea which one out of the wires from them two plugs it is? font really wanna extend the wire into the cabin

I can't rember the colour and my back is f<#¥%d ATM so won't be able to look at mine but wogsrus said white with red earlier and from memory he has just recently installed a chip so thow the multi meter on that one and check.

ok thanks. theres no white and red wire plugging into the pedal. we got all night suss bottle of rum we will sort it out hopefully. or end up torching the car out of anger one or the other lol

I attempted to have a look but it was all to much but I could see the white wire with a red trace and with how the wires were connected and taped up I think that is the one but not 100% with out pulling off all the electrical tape. And you don't have the white with a red trace ?

no white and red wire anywhere. we getting good readings off a solid blue wire off the pedal. in the process of hooking it to that one. cheers

Might be a ute/wagon thing as mines 08 also but if your getting the right readings from the blue one must be it

it might be mate . were having soldering from issues at The moment so we sitting back enJoying a rum watching the thunderstorm hammer us after having 95% humidity all day! i love north qld lol

too true. been on a small drive i can notice a bit of a increse in torque. ill change the exhaust asap too
