I just bought a 1991 Patrol. It has a tank (A container to carry extra water -or fuel perhaps) at the back. What's the story behind? Almost all patrols don't have that tank at the back. So why are there a few with the tanks at the back?

Mine isn't a long ranger, just standard Nissan tank but yeah it sits at the back. Unless the OP means inside? Then it would be aftermarket and probably be for water?

NOT MY PATROL But this is the kind of patrol I just bought for 250,000 Pesos (1 US Dollar = 42 Philippine Pesos). I'm in the city (Manila) doing a research. My Patrol is in the boondocks, in the piggery farm. hence, no picture. What is this Patrol? Make, Type, Year, Complete Specs? Where can I get a comprehensive shop manual? IS THIS PATROL GOOD OR AT PAR WITH THOSE I SEE IN THE MANY MANY PICS THERE OF PATROLS PERFORMING ACROBATICS ON SANDS, DEEP DIVING MUD PITS, FREE FALLING FROM THE SKY................ What can you say about this kind of Patrol? Can it fly too?

(((((((I DREAM OF DIVING THE BARRIER REEF SOMEDAY))))))

by the way, that looks like a MK patrol.

What motor do you.

I had a MK with a 2.8 petrol (was repacled woth a rb30) it was a great 4wd.

I now have a 4.2s GQ

The jerry can - is to carrt extra fuel / or water etc
