2005 3 LTR Diesel - What to look for when buying second hand

Hi guys, I have been a regular user on the Pathfinder forum but recently decided to sell my pathfinder because it didn't seam strong enough for my type of 4x4 interests. I am looking at buying a 2005 GU ST auto with 165,000 on the clock. The 3ltr diesel seams to have had most of the services up until about 100k and then a bit random.

What should I look for with these engines as I have heard bad things about them but nothing specific. Is there a major service which may have been missed and what is replaced at the major service.

Any help on wether this model is good or bad and what to look out for will be great.

i`m only newbie here to ,they do prefer you to jump onto the introductions part first for a little gooday and little bit of info about yourself :-)
i`m not to smart on the mechanic side of things .i like to get underneath and see whats she been threw just signs of offroad use ding and mud
