Hello Friends!

I am going to change my fuel injectors on my non turbo TD 42 engine. I am wanting to know any suggestions or things to watch out for and be careful of when doing this job.

Is there any other maintenance I should do on the fuel pump or anything else I should do while I am changing these old injectors out?

Thanks for sharing your ideas and expertise!

Hi Buddy,

Have you already got a set of recon injectors?

Make sure any debris is cleaned out of the recess around the injector's mounting recess.
Have new sealing washers for the new injectors (usually supplied with them).
Get it tuned after new injectors are in as the pressure they release fuel at will change timing.
Single hex DEEP socket will make the job easier - AND a torque wrench....

@ SupRob, I do have the replacement injectors. I ordered them from you guys over in Aussie land.

Thanks Forsan, I will make sure the recesses are cleaned. I hope my mechanic has the proper tools. What do they do, to tune the motor? Is that like adjusting the idle? Thanks for the ideas, please keep them coming.

I changed them out today with the help of my mechanic. The engine is running like new now, awesome! Thanks for your help everyone.
