View Full Version : Runaway Maverick ran over my phone...HELP!

Ok, I'm ready to be paid out here but I have a little dilemma.lol

I was working under the Mav yesterday replacing the handbrake shoes. Having the tailshaft and brake drum out and not having secured the vehicle it rolled away on me...bwahhahahah.
Farking funny not!!!

I was in 4L but forgot to lock the hubs...ooops

The bloody thing ran over my phone which was under the wheel ( i thought it might have stopped it from rolling). Nothing broken and it looks like new again (its a HTS, what you expect) but wont switch on :(

I had 10 years worth of contacts on there and did not copy to SIM...wooops!

SO anyone have any idea how I can recover the contacts???? please!!!!

Try driving back over it the right way... :p

On a serious note. Any activity when connected to the computer??

FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
HBOOT USB

Are your contacts stored on the phone memory or sd card? If they're on sd card, just take it out and pop it into your computer, or new phone when you get it.......... If they're on your phone memory and your computer can't se your phone when you plug it in, the you're probably sh?t outta luck........

Are you sure you're not Doggy, his Q has a habit of going for a wander over to his neighbours ;)

Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....

Hahaha thats funny mate reminds me of the mrs old man, he had a 28t flat bed international truck that was loaded full of steel on a delivery, well he reversed it up a steep drive way got out to get the delivery door opened and when he got back the truck was gone lol. He ran to the street and found it bouncing off the gutter up the drive way a bit then back off the gutter haha he said another motorist that was coming down the street when it rolled out said it must have bounced back and forth about 20 times!!

He has a point, just because the glass is intact, doesn't mean the LCD crystal isn't, or a plug has broken inside..

Yes guys, as stated in many previous posts, the screen is fine, it fires up, it has light, it switches on, it has a logo come on, It has factory settings on screen, it turns on, it turns white, I can navigate it, It has writting on it, it has a menu but it doesn't work

I'm going to talk to HTC to see if they can do anything to help as it still kind of works, just wont start up the Android software.

Lorrieandjas - I will see how I go before I go down that path....might be in touch soon...cheers

You got a good memory..
Yea love. Took a little to get use to from I phone but now its as easy to use..
And a lot more capable.. only thing I haven't found yet is how to delete files off it..

From what I see in your factory list, I'd say you need to use hboot usb, but ring HTC or an android dealer and get advice...
