View Full Version : Anyone tried Greensmoke?

AB

No not that green stuff...lol

This stuff = http://www.greensmoke.com/

My mate just arrived back from OS and showed me these E Smokes. I normally don't believe in all that crap but WOW!!!

It doesnt smell but when you take a drag it feels and tastes like a cigarrette. Even the end of the smoke glows too...LMAO

Honestly though, if you want to quit then this is the product to do it. It comes in different strengths of nicotine and flavours, etc.

Here's some muppets review on Youtube...lol

I wonder if you have to go out to the smoking area of a pub to "smoke" em??

Apparently you are allowed to smoke them anywhere. They also give you a card that you present to people which explains the product if they ask why are you smoking in the Baby change rooms in Target...lol

Did the same thing here Bob, just over 25 years ago and havnt wanted one since!!

It took me 12 months to talk myself into it and when I did give them up (They were costing a whopping $2.20 per packet!!) I took up a hobby to spend my money and time on.

Just give up the smokes boys and you will be able to afford all the mods in the world for your 'trol..!!

Cheers,

Rob

Don't do it TD. You've been 8 months nicotine free - why would you want to get yourself hooked again?
If you want to suck on something there's plenty of other options! LOL

Yep, I have some friends done the same. I reckon it's a claytons way of giving up......... You don't stop 'smoking' & you don't stop the nicotine intake........ so you don't actually give up.
One friend has convinced himself he's doing good when in reality he still chain-smokes when alone, & only uses the e-fags when around others.

Giving up ain't easy & the only way any method is going to work relies on two things. 1. Making the clear decision that you no longer smoke & 2. No longer smoking. Everything else is just help along the way.
Giving up is only a temporary state of mind at the beginning - you have to move on from being a 'giving up smoker' to being a 'non smoker' or 'ex smoker' and that's state of mind too.

Don't preach to me about not preaching! ;-)
Seriously there's just one thing in your last post that is spot on ....... If you want to give up you will
That's really the bottom line - YOU have to want to. No good just 'cos someone else wants you to, or just 'cos you think you ought to........

And TD if you like the smell of a lit ciggie I can understand that, but if you're saying you like the smell of stale ciggie smoke that clings to a smokers clothing ....... ya oughta ask the doc for some more of whatever he's giving you. It has to be one of the most rank smells possible. Dunno how my wife put up with it for so many years. I wouldn't have! Must be 'cos I'm such a warm hearted, non judgemental bloke! :smileyvault-cute-bi

Mate you are 100%. I have tried giving up a number of times even with 3 month period without a smoke but seem to get back on the band wagon.......
I thought I was a non smoker a number of times but still have an occasional puff...so the moral of the story is I AM STILL A SMOKER...damn it!!

Been off the smokes for just under 2 months now.

I used a combo of patches and inhalers for about 6 weeks, then just an inhaler for a few days and now nothing at all. The first 6 weeks or so were the toughest as my wife was still smoking and the temptation was there, especially when on the grog :) I still occasionally get the urge for one but it passes pretty quick, even nights on the grog aren't a problem, particularly now the boss has stopped smoking as well.

At $25 a packet there's plenty of incentive not to smoke, at least until the Patrol is fully kitted out :)

Gotta be Tappy with that!

I'm not a smoker never have been but even I get urges sometimes... if I walk out the back and everybody is there smoking I just wanna have one as well, some reason I like the smell.

I quit at 730pm on the 7th July 2009....... When I see people smoke I get a little hungry for it when I am drinking but that is all, I used champix. I had/have anger spurts now and again and relied on the smokes to calm me so I was smoking 2 packs of Dunhill Blue a day. When I quit I sent my wife and daughter away to our farm for 2 weeks and took time away from work. I had a guy come to the house and chemically clean the curtains and clothes I also treated the carpets. For an extra $50 he treated my car, I never smoked inside but I wanted away from the smell and temptation. I had cold sweats for a week and felt depressed. Quitting was the hardest thing I have done and I applaud your efforts.

My brother is using them for the first time tonight. He's a pack a day dunhill blue smoker and he says the red label flavor at full strength which is 2.4% strength is the closest to Aussie smokes.

He also said vanilla flavor is really tasty...lol

Just check out the people with EMPHYSEMA and ask yourself do I want to suffer that much.
I don't think so, so just get some balls and go cold turkey. I did 45 years ago and recon it`s the only thing i got right in my life (apart from marrying my beautiful wife of 39 years ) I don`t care if you smoke it`s freedom of choice and i chose to give it up

Yeah - I smoke - have done for years. Sometimes want to give up - most times don't. Gave up for 8 years but gotta say I love having a ciggie on the booze or before work, or anytime I want one! Will it kill me - probably - but so will mobile phone radiation, colonic cancer from too much meat, etc. Each to their own!

OK I've held back from commenting until now.
I was a smoker until I stopped cold turkey nearly 30 years ago, and I used to give it a real hammering (sometimes 3 packs a day when traveling). All the family smoked, except for one brother so I was exposed to smoke from birth.
Tried to give up a few times but was never serious, always though one won't hurt especially at the pub after the footy (you could smoke anywhere then). One day I just decided to give up and stuck with the decision although the wife kept smoking. I've never had a puff since and now class myself as a dedicated anti smoker.
Sixteen years ago my mother was diagnosed with cancer and it was caused by smoking, she smoked until the end and couldn't stop. I helped my father nurse her at home for three months until she passed away (she wanted to die at home). This was very tough but rewarding.
My father gave up smoking about the same time I did but was diagnosed with Emphysema nine years, ago also caused by smoking. Watching a big strong man waste away over the years continually attached to an oxygen pump was terrible. I was with him when he passed away last year. The only way I can describe his last years is try living by only being able to breathe trough a straw, you're always struggling for air.

Giving up smoking is one of the best decisions I ever made and I encourage everyone else to do the same. I've never felt better and am still reasonably fit (but slowing down with age). I'm sure the damage has been done and it will get me in the end so I'm making the most of life now.

Anyone who has given up, WELL DONE, those considering giving up GO FOR IT - YOU CAN DO IT.
Oh and that 'Greensmoke' - just something to make someone else rich.

Now 3 Years & Six Months since I smoked after 53 years of smoking (Started at 14 Years).
Stopped cold Turkey with help of Tablets prescribed by Dr. Still have the occasional urge for a Fag but it does not last long.
I tried Patches etc and they did not help as you are still getting Nicotene , the same as the Greensmoke thing.
I still do not have a sense of smell.

Keep going Bob it will return, everything tastes better as well. I was never crook while I smoked but had Bronchitis three time in the year after I quit, I was tempted to take it up again then.
Took about 18 months for the cravings to go away but it's been worth it.
