Sorry to hear it's flaring up again/still mate. Ever looked into the Chinese herbal treatments to help alleviate some of the symptoms, like fatigue?

Have you ever had the camera down the gut and a sample taken from you stomach and intestine? I too have suffered for many years from similar issues, cramps, gas, more gas, tiredness, bloating etc etc. I was admitted to the ER around 2 years ago for what we though was a heart attack. Then the docs though it was just heartburn. After many tests they finally decided to take a sample of my gut lining and test it. Seem I have a rare condition, can't remember what its called though, where the cells in my stomach are the exact same cells that are in my intestine. Where they are suppose to be different. Apparently its so rare they don't even know how to fix it so atleast I know it can't be fixed and I just have to live with it. Along with the meds I take for my spinal bifida, it make life quite different.
Start eating fresh chilli's mate. Atleast that got my appetite up and increased my metabolism...

Hey Paul,
For that list you are prepared to give away, I reckon I could come up with a BS remedy or two.
Mate I feel for you, to have all those toys and to not be able to take full advantage must be driving you absolutely nuts.
I fortunately cannot give you any tips or advice other than to try and keep the chin up, but don't discount any of the alternative concepts out there.
The way our health system seems to be going you are probably better off, All doctors seem to do now is prescribe a heap of drugs(not the good ones) and hope for the best.
Anyway mate take care, I really hope something comes your way so you can see a bloody light at the end of what seems like a very long tunnel,
Regards
Mark
P.S when's the little one due, or have I missed it.

Sorry mate, but I don't have an answer. However I do have an old mate who has suffered with major physical problems which seemed insurmountable, & destined only to deteriorate according to the medicos. He has been through a tunnel of darkness that was years long but has come out the other side when no-one, least of all himself, considered this possible. He now has a happy & satisfying life ........ sometimes what seems impossible isn't, so don't give up hope no matter how hopeless things may seem now.

Hey mate I remember reading your other thread. Have you thought about the operation to remove part of your bowel?
I was born with Herstbrungs disease which is a disease in the bowel, long story short I was in a bad way and had the colostomy bag for years as a kid, they eventually cut a quarter of my lower bowel out and now I'm good as gold.
If theres that option mate from first hand experience I'm living proof it worked. The bonus is that your body can't absorb as much nutrients and fat as normal so I eat and drink heaps.....YAY!!!!

G'day mudski,
Thanks for your kind thoughts! I have had several biopsies of the stomach and both the large and small bowels. I was finally diagnosed with Crohns disease. Unfortunately, i am not aloud to eat anymore spicy foods. (i love chilies unfortunately they do not like me.) I am taking 16 tablets first thing in the morning and another 6 tablets before i go to bed. I know all the medications are causing me grieve. I am about to reduce half of my medications in an temp to see if this reduces my fatigue and constant tiredness.

Paul

G'day AB,
I have already had one section removed, unfortunately these bloody Perianal Abscess are a nightmare to fix! Especially if you also suffer with Crohns disease. I had the colostomy bag fitted 18 months ago. Was due to have a reversal procedure on 11th March. Unfortunately, the bloody Crohns disease coming back has put a stop to that.

Paul
