I have no doubt there is at least a short list for the GQ? But the GU8 is a pleasure and near perfect straight off the boat.

I actually thought my GQ was finished when I got it back on the road. Fully modded and a great car.

Now I just drive it harder and find its limitations and start a new list. My wife hates that bit.

My GUIV could do with a front locker, just because! But the. A Turbo upgrade for both cars! Because!

My 2 cents
If you are happy with your Patrol the way is, then you like to drive to and from work and the odd trip away. It will get you where you need to go.

If you are not happy with your Patrol the way it is, then you are a nutter, a 4x4 enthusiast, a person who is positively going to make a good rig great. Someone who always looks for ways to make something so awesome, just that little more awesome.
Justification is just half the challenge.
I like my Patrol very much. It's been a good girl to me. But I wouldn't refuse an LS3 or 6.5 V8 with semi-auto gearbox, Twin rear wheel carrierand blah blah blah.

Yaah I am happy with my patrol and if something happened and I could not afford another mod/change/improvement I would be ok with that !!!!!BUT at this stage it is the never ending pit!!!

As happy as I am with the rigs capabilities, IMO I would not a be a true 4x4er if I wasn't always looking for ways to make it more practical, efficient, POWERFUL, etc.

It does everything its asked of,other than that what matters .......
The MK shorty well thats the toy, and well the list is endless , but the cash isnt

Speaking of which.......I'm more than happy with my 4.2 TDi.

I've got a few mods ready to be wired up, but still need the coin to do it. The only 2 things that need doing to my truck are new boots/rims (getting rid of the splits asap) and a light bar - that's it.

More than impressed under the bonnet after I towed a 2 ton trailer and my pod fully loaded. Don't need to touch that.

Slowly preparing to sell the house and tow a caravan around - nomad style - spending the kids inheritance. Get the drift? lol
