I have acquired a Redarc SBI12 second hand and have gone to test it. It failed.
I have noticed upon closer inspection that in all the pictures I've seen on the web and forums there is a brown wire going from the front circuit board above the earth wire to the rear Auxiliary terminal.
Mine does not have that but looking where it would come from, the glue/silicone covering the board is not broken/disturbed at all indicating there was never a wire connected there from new.
Has anyone else come across this or is this an early model?
